It's time for the final race of the tour, the AAA Auto Club Finals at Pomona Raceway. ITA takes a look at who's hot going into the final event.

    TAD

    1. Steve Torrence - Can the soon-to-be crowned World Champ be stopped? Will be very tough.

    2. Aaron Olivarez - If anyone can stop Torrence, it will be the Armored Coatings team. 5.30 in Vegas was plenty stout.

    3. Bill Reichert - Reichert should be a threat to win with good air and a good surface.

    4. Joe Windham - Wheeling the same car that went 5.10 here last year. Could we see a return to the teens this year?

    5. Duane Shields - When this team is on, they're as tough as any to stop.

    6. Ashley Force - Good air should get them a few rounds.

    7. Hillary Will - On a national event track and good air, should be the class of the blown field.

    8. Steve Federlin - Is overdue to return to the form that won the Winternationals here earlier in the year. Our TAD 'Dark Horse' pick of the week.

    TAFC

    1. Jay Payne - Pulled off an impressive victory at a very tough Vegas divisional last weekend in the Valvoline Thunderslug. Our pick to win this week.

    2. Steve Gasparrelli - Has been on a tear of late. A very real threat to win again this weekend.

    3. Dennis Taylor - Seems to have his mojo back after running well last weekend in Vegas

    4. John Weaver - U.S. Nationals runner-up should be a late round player this weekend.

    5. Bucky Austin - "Uncle Buck" seems to be back to his old winning ways, will be tough.

    6. Dave Ray - Don't forget about the East Coast guys' 5.56 in Gainesville. We haven't.

    7. Larry Miner - This team has been hot and cold. If they can put some consistency together, look out.

    8. Doug Gordon - Hard to put this team this far down the list, but a very tough field this weekend. Our TAFC 'Dark Horse' pick of the week.

    Performances:
    TAD - 5.17/280
    TAFC - 5.55/260
