Got on board a westbound seven forty-seven
Didn't think before deciding what to do
Ooh, that talk of opportunities, TV breaks and movies
Rang true, sure rang true ...

Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl, don't they warn ya?
    It pours, man, it pours

I'm out of work, I'm out of my head
Out of self respect, I'm out of bread
I'm underloved, I'm underfed, I wanna go home
It never rains in California, but girl, don't they warn ya?
    It pours, man, it pours

Will you tell the folks back home I nearly made it?
Had offers but didn't know which one to take
Please don't tell 'em how you found me
Don't tell 'em how you found me
Gimme a break, give me a break

Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl, don't they warn ya?
It pours, man, it pours :mad: this SUCKS

I think its even funnier that noise regulations won't let them fire an engine until 10am today. Even though they are right next to the airport. Do people in Orange County not go work until 10a.m.? I'd hate for a stocker's engine to wake someone out of their beauty sleep on a weekday.

There are homes right behind the starting line in La Verne. Considering the retired population in the area I don't think it is an unreasonable request.

Fair enough. I can only imagine having a nitro car running and shaking the hot coffee out of the mug. :)

Man, the weather is just goofy down there. It's nicer here in Missouri than in So. Cal...

Once again ignorance rears it's ugly head.

The homes near the starting line were built in the late 1890's to early 1900's. NHRA has done a very good job trying to be a good neighbor.

    Love,

    Randy
