Did the marathon first round at E-Town on Saturday night hurt the alcohol classes future with NHRA?

Not sure, but I know it didn't help.

    Pat,
Fill me in. I'm assuming you're talking about several oil downs in the alcohol ranks.
I think at Indy, the Comp cars probably had more down time. I guess we all have our bad days.

    I swear I'm clean.

Actually, that Saturday night session was a big pro-mod hold-up. We got called to the lanes at 5:30, and eventually ran 3 hours later. No, that is not an exageration. Anyway, if memory serves me right, 3 of the pro-mods ran in the sand trap, one of which flipped over, and 1 or 2 more oiled down. One TA/FC oiled down, and I think that was it. Sunday was a blast too, 2nd round AFTER the pro's were done, final round at 7:29 in the PM, one minute before the noise curfew.

I think that was the longest we've ever sat in the staging lanes waiting to run...
