    I'm looking at making a ramp for the back of my buzzard catcher, and while I'm at it figured a divider couldn't hurt as well. This brings a few questions.

    Firstly, is it worth it? Without any way of actively testing it is there actually anything to gain? I could easily do a 3d model in Solidworks and test it in Floworks but that won't take into account the supercharger.

    If it is;

    1) Are there any basic design principles to follow
    2) Does a divider want to extend to the top of the hat or just say 2/3" into the hat
    3) Clearance from the rotors to the base of the divider

    The blower is a 14/71 hi-helix Littlefield

    What you want to do does work, the divider needs to be about .060 from the rotors, there is a lot of harmonics with the divider plates because of air turbulence, so it has to be make strong, the other part about the air flow into the blower, is make it flow in a smooth as possible without having to flow over sharp corners or edges, there is a lot to be said about this kind of thing and there are some injector adapter made that do some of what your asking, good luck and if you have any other questions call me
