Information on Cape Codder. (Ed Parker) and Boston Strangler (Arnie Karp)

Alright all,
Looking for ANY information on these two racers please, we bought a car from Ed Parker in the late 1980's that we still use today, it was owned by Arnie Karp before this. Photos below to jog your memories....thanks

My father "The Show Stoppa" Billy Naves drove the Firenza in the mid 90's. He wrecked at Bristol when the chute levers came out of the roof and he had no chutes. Tommy Picket owned the car and it was dads drive train for a while until they switched to an oldsmobile setup. I think his email is billnaves@aol.com. Strangler

The two pictures in your post are different cars. the one of parker looks like a 1990 modle while the one of karpe is the one Pickett bought and my dad destroyed in 1995. If you can find any race info of the 1995 race in Bristol you will see the write up from friday night qualifying. The crash ended qualifying because the car busted the gaurdrail and the amount of debris was so heavy they just took to long cleaning up and ended friday qualifying.

 

Nappy, thanks.....well i def no that the top car is ours cos that photo was taken over here out side our old garage.

only reason i thought the second photo was ours is that the chassis is exactly the same, things like the steering setup.

 

I believe all the Strangler chassis' of that era were built by Chicky Brignolo. That would account for the similarities.
