    Top alcohol funny car issue in a previous thread did not address the roots vs screw blower situation. A 50lbs break is not enough to make up a 2 tenth different. Here is a group of racers, the root guys, not going to NHRA Divisional or National events.
    I know this opens another can of worms, but car count need to be increased, and these guys are sitting, what can be done cost-effectively to bring the ets closer?
    As for injected nitro funny car, I would run one 2005.

    If the roots combo was more competitive, the car counts would go up. Maybe we should concentrate on that instead of introducing the A-fuel factor.

    Back 1996, Bob Newberry ran a 5.69 in ideal conditions with a roots blower. I have to believe that the current roots blowers are better 8 years later.

    The year was 1994, and the blowers are ten times better now than ever before.
