IHRA Lands Title Sponsor??

Dont know if this is true as it is still under the rumour mill @ competitionplus but could this possibly mean there will be funding for a NFC and AFC class next year?

 

I would hope so, but I'd like to see who the sponsor is too. The only thing that scares me out of getting hopeful is that even with a title sponsor, ADRL is snagging cars left and right from them, including Pro Stock (depending on what ADRL's payouts are this year). Many are planning on running both right now, but what happens when ADRL offers more visibility, more events and better payouts? IHRA may just wind up putting that money into the current full time classes just to keep enough cars for full fields.

 

i agree with what your saying but with the recent new with the NHRA pro mod... whos to say a lot of cars that dont want 1/8th mile arent going to go to the IHRA and possibly be a stepping stone to a stronger future. If the alcohol funny car class was to return there would definately need to be a rule change allowing screw blowers, after all people have changed their setups significantly
