    water in block

I would not run water in block... we have done it for years, just leave all water passages open... if you want to run water moroso makes water pump spacers with drilled holes on side. good vibes sells a tensioner bracket and moroso space will set you in the right direction.

I haven't looked at this yet, but I'm thinking you could use the lower block holes to get a pulley just above and beside the crank pulley, opposite your fuel pump. Might even be able to incorporate it into a motor plate.

I see your saying nothing run off the cam but, in this case you could run a Kuhl I believe it is called a River Rat pump I run one on my blown alky SBC to save my head gaskets it works great.

    cooling system

If you are going to run water, the best way to cool the engine is with reverse flow, put water in the heads and take it out from water pump, you will cool down faster between rounds, think where the heat is... its not in the block, it's in the heads.
