    I've noticed at at least 3 races this year, and even the Entry list for Chi-town. That FC entries outnumber Dragster entries! I can remember just 10 years ago in Pomona/Phoenix you might see 25 FC's, but like 35 Dragsters! I guess A-Fuel cars aren't saving the class as everyone thought they would.:rolleyes:

    Funny thing is they say a FC is more expensive to operate. So this means dragster racers went and spent more money to be competitive in the FC class since their hands were tied in the dragster class.......Interesting.

    Its hard to compare car counts at nationals because it is limited but divisionals aren't. Anybody notice fontana. 12 dragsters, 18 funny cars, 8 car fields. Guys like Gasparrelli and August going home early.:eek:

    My first divisional event in TA/FC was Bakersfield in 1991. 31 funny cars for a 16 car field. I ran a 6.28 and didn't qualify.

    Dean...I bet if you go back to the Early-Mid 90's you'll see they had over 30 TAD's at Pomona.

    I recall in the early and mid 90's wanting to own a TAFC mainly because of national events having only 14-15 showing up...
    .......... Even I could qualify with those odds.......

    How bout early Pomona w/ Pro Comp, Bakersfield?

    Yeah... How about in the 70's when ProComp was dragsters & floppers racing together at Pomona? One year 80 cars entered, we were #17 for the 16 car field. Got to run anyway as the Sumac Brothers (yes, Gary & his bro,?,) & car crew did not arrive in time for the first round so we were in as 1st alternate.

    Yes lotta cars like Veney, Armstrong, and, and, and, a whole bunch more.

    Or Smokers at Bakersfield when it was wall to wall front engine top fuel dragsters, and empty beer cans... Spectators? Yeah, car loads of girls showing up from the LA area, and, and, and never mind. lol ,:cool:

    Same thing for E-town, 18 FC's, 15 TAD's minus one for Morgan unless he's running again.
