We have purchased two parachute tethers from Taylor Motorsport to mount on a Top Alcohol Funny Car but are wondering if anyone could please post some pictures of how these tethers actually mount and where they bolt to.
I understand that you are supposed to use two tethers going through both chute eyes but it would be great if someone could please explain exactly how these mount.
We are using a sheetmetal diff housing. Do the mounting points go through the bolt holes holding the alloy plates to the sheetmetal housing or do they mount where the other end of the alloy plate mounts to the chassis upright?

my recommendation is to attach them to the bolts at the front section of the ali mounts where these initially attach to the actual chassis, not where the housing mounts to the ali plates.

you should use 1 tether for each chute typically from the top frame mount bolt through the chute eye and back to the lower mounting bolt repeat on the other side

Man am I confused! This sounds like a four link for the chute except close to the tire. Anyone got pics?
