    I'm putting together a new combo for my altered/funny car (2100lbs wet). We don't have to fit into anyone's rules; just having fun. The goal is a 6.00 flat type deal. Here is what I have so far;

    TFX billet 4.150 x 4.375 with AJ stage 5 heads, 7.0 compression, nitro cam, 1471 hi helix and 44 mag. Planning to run 30% nitro in the tank and 30% over on the blower.

    What size fuel pump do I need? I have access to a 18 gpm pump now.
    Is that enough?

    Also my tank filled to the brim is 8 gallons, figure I have close to 3/4 in the lines up to the hat, is that enough?

    Thanks for your time and thoughts

    James,.
    .since you are not going to be following any one particular class rules
    for Nostalgia,.(which I find would be a mistake) then for a fuel pump
    either over drive the 18gpm to 24-28gpm or get a bigger pump and run a pump sizer to reduce it as needed,
    " regaurdless get your whole fuel system flowed"
    so you know what you have
    and where you have it,.....
    30% aint crap,.. it will smell and maybe pop a little and maybe pickup a few
    hundreths to a .10,..but as the story of greed and addiction goes you will
    soon want to add more,....put a minimum 12-13 gallon fuel tank in your car.

    Good luck

    Jim, run a higher percentage of nitro and get a second job. Good advice from someone with no job. :D

    20 or less OR 80 or more
