How much heat can an EGT box take?

    Hi All

    I'm just getting busy fitting up a new data logger and I've made some nice EGT box brackets to mount them on the headers but how much heat can the EGT box take?

    I had a quick look inside the EGT box and it looks fairly delicate.

    What is a good solution here?

    You are talking about the connection box for all the EGTs is that correct? If so I would not mount that on the headers because of both heat and vibration

    Hi Mike

    Yep, this is the box that the EGT probes connect into.

    I was planning to mount the box on the headers because the EGTs are hard wired to the box. If I need to get the headers off in a hurry, I'm going to be pulling all 8 EGT probes to get it done.

    There must be a better way - what does everyone else do?
