My PSI Mag Injector sat in a trailer for 17 years and has seen better days.

What has the ITA community done to refinsh their injector to look like new?

    Re-dow coat?
    Paint?

If you have any contacts let me know....

    Coat my injector

I sent mine to enderle, and they had their guy strip, polish and re dow 7 my mag injector. looks real nice, been 10 years ago, and still is ok, just need to wax every once in a while to keep it shiny. I found out since there are local guys that can do it, but figured if they had a connection used to doing these, it might be better to send it to them.

I had an enderle mag bird, had it powdercoated semi-gloss black . Very cheap to do at a local powdercoater.

    coat my jector

I believe they have to sandblast a surface to get powdercoat to stick well. I might be wrong, but polish probably not. polishing will make the surface smoother if it was rough to begin with, but could make the overall look better in corners and such.

I had a mag Gerardot injector, fine sanded it and used black engine enamel with the ceramic in it. It has held up very well. I also had a lo profile mag Gerardot injector and had Don have it Dow coated a second time. The first pass (tractor pull) we somehow had a fuel leak and fire. Safety guy hit motor with fire extinguisher--not good! Flooded area with water as quickly as possible. The flat surfaces held up pretty good, but undersides and crevices were not so good. The finish took on a mottled look, still shiny and all but... So the expense of the Dowcoat for one pass was pretty high!! JW
