HIRATA MOTORSPORTS to race against month of JUNE



Topeka, KS- Veteran Division 3 driver, Dave Hirata and his Hirata Motorsports team, begin a grueling month of June this weekend at the O’Reilly Auto Parts Summernationals at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kansas.

The Topeka National event this weekend begins a five week stretch of races and car shows for the Lowell, IN based team.

The Hirata Motorsports team recently spent some time testing their impressive A/Fuel Dragster combination at the Thunder Nationals at Martin, MI. “We ran low elapsed time of round one, however the driver took the ‘big red eye’ in defeat,” recalled Hirata.

They followed this event up by competing at the Division 3 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Norwalk, OH. “Norwalk provided us some of the best air we’ll see all year,” stated the team owner and driver. “I think we were just over center on our tune up, as two tire smokers at the hit ended our racing that day.”

Although the next few weeks will be busy for Hirata, he is quietly confident his team will do very well. “We are defiantly going to see what we are made of and how tough we are,” concluded Hirata, who will get his rest and relaxation at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion in June in Bowling Green, KY.
