need a tenth or 2 car is an altered injected hilborn 439" chevy pump is a hilborn 150-A return pill is 172 timing is 42 degrees,, running 8:60's on a 8:50 index what do I need to do, step up timing , change return pill, bigger pump car runs great but loses power at top end thanks ITA

 

What are the spark plugs telling you,.....lean,...rich,...???

almost like new just a shade of tan, I'm thinking I need to richen it up a bit, seems like it falls on it's face about the last 300 ft. car runs 8:60's consistently, I want 8:50's

 

what is Tan,.?? the porcelin....any black speckles. Are you running alky or gas....
what does the top of the spark plug or threads look like shiny or grey, white,..???
how many threads discolored if any at all....??,
what color and how much of the top of plug...or how about the ground strape..???? were is the distinct discoloration at on it. what plug you use..???

Need more info on car and motor... what size nozzles,..
What cylinder head, cam, spring, comp ration. tranny , rear gear, tire size, weight of car.
60 ft, 1/2 track et and mph, launch rpm, shift point, rpm threw traps.
