    Fuel Line Size

I have a very similar system to yours and I use a 1" line (-16) I do use on size larger pump (110 over the 760) but a 12 seems a little small. I then use a -10 tank vent. I would look at trying to up size the inlet line size. The vent is almost as importants as the inlet, (some will say more important) so up size it as well.

    My 2 cents

Do your returns (idle, high speed, etc) go back to tank or directly in front of the pump?

    glug

First make sure your tank is adequately vented by doing the highly precise and scientific 'glug' test. Tank the tank out of the car, fill with water, and turn it down to let it gravity pour out of the outlet with the cap on. If it 'glugs' when you're pouring, it doesn't have a big enough vent.

If you are using a conventional steel braided/rubber AN 12 line, that could be the problem there. You need to have at least a reinforced hose or a hard line. The pump could be sucking the line closed.

Also, make sure it's not sucking air somewhere. That will cause major cavitation problems.
