I have a pair of weld spindle mount prostars that have been anodized black. Measuring the best i can w/ digital caliper, it looks like there is about .008 interference fit. Do i need to remove the anodizing from the area where the races go? Is the race supposed to be a little bigger than the hole??

i had the exact same problem with my black prostars. i took a little emory cloth and sanded the wheels where the races go and used my press to install the 4 bearing races. you want it a little tight to hold the races in place. don't remove too much - i could still see the black inside the wheels.

i just remembered one more thing - you will have to sand the area inside the wheel where the bearing seals go. i tried to install a seal without cleaning up the rim and it bend and ruined the seal to the point i had to get a new seal.
