Did you take those nozzles out of the blower case since the last time out? Are the nozzles in the correct way with the dot up?

john and bruce i am 99% sure the rotors are in right i kept them apart so not to get them mixed up but now you have me worried i messed up some how i made sure they were in time how can i tell before taking it a part it turns smoothly i have had the the blower apart several times for service and never a problem but there is the 1% now i not sure you guys have me second guessing myself but its possible i

    thanks jim

I'll abmit, did this once in my TD days. Motor started right up, sounded good. Went to do a burn out and fell on its face:eek: Drove me nuts?! Fowler "suggested" I had them in backwards and I say "No way!" Well, he was right! Lesson learned and remembered!

sort of hard to explain but look through the blades and rotate the blower in the correct direction. the rotors should roll in the shape of a V from the front to the back. even in the wrong sides it rotate smooth and sound o.k. when idling but it will blow the fuel out the holes on the nozzle bodies. think about this. when they are in right, the air bows to the bottom at the front. if in wrong, it would blow up and to the back.

the guy that put mine in wrong specializes in roots blower modifications. I never thought to check the rotors so that just shows even the best make a mistake.

    Jim,

When looking at the blower from the pulley end, the right rotor should twist right. Been there, now we have a diagram on the wall lol...

    Wouldn't rev up would it.....

After having a similar experience we were talking to the late and great Red Redeker and sort of quizzed him like "so what would happen if the rotors were flipped after a restripping" He just looked over his glassed and said "Wouldn't rev up would it!"........priceless
