    Simpson Bandit

    Hello Jon,

We just bought a Impact Nitro. They are a bit on the expensive side at around $700.00. The helmet also wants to rip your face off when removing it.

If you don't have to run a fresh air system, I still have my Simpson Bandit SA-00 helmet with spare shields.

It was made 01/01 and is size 7-3/8” or 59cm and will fit a 23” cranium.

NHRA will no longer allow us to run it in the F/C because it does not have the fresh air system installed in it.

The helmet has a custom paint job. It is painted metallic silver with candy dark green flames.

How’s $200.00 plus the ride to your door sound?

    Joe:)

Been wondering about a Nitro myself. Have you used your's much? Does that rubber mouth thing (that wants to rip your face off) help reduce fogging much? I wear glasses. Thanks.

    Nitro helmet

    Hello Tol,

I just got my helmet and have not had a chance to race with it. However the rubber face piece is adjustable by turning the filters you can move it in & out from your face. I also where eye glasses.
From what I have been told, If the conditions are rite for the inside of the windshield to fog than your eye glasses & helmet shield will still fog even with the fresh air running. I am going to try some of the anti fog home remedies. I hear the potato trick works very good.
The helmet also has a tendency to want to fold my ears over however I think wearing a head sock will help prevent this from happening..

    Joe:)
