have any of you made the change from headers to zoomies? what changes did you see in performance and tuning.

540 BB chevy, Brodix conventional heads, 8-71 Kobelco, Enderle injection, 4.30's @ 160 with 2-3/8 headers to 4.5" collectors. Going to 2.5" zoomies.

    Thanks

Let us know what you find in performance. This argument has gone on for so long. We know what it does on a dyno in a N/A engine, but the huffer really throws us for a loop. Then there is the air helping to pull the charge out of the zoomies acting like a collector in the open air, and at speed. We have seen the advantage in boats, but again, without the huffer.
    Keep us informed.

Norm Grimes tried zoomies on Rick Santos TAD a long time ago. Took them back off.

we were not able to do ABA testing, but it seems that the zoomies are about the same as the good headers. The one thing is that the zoomies did bring the EGT's more consistant with each other and the motor required less fuel.

They do look cool I might add.
