Head studs

    When installing new head studs in a billet block do i put anything on the threads? Do i torque them ? Thanks in advance for answers

    I just put them in and torque them to 30 ft lbs with a dab of motor oil on them. I have seen racers just screw them in hand tight. I like to make sure they are all the way in and tight enough that they will not back out when taking the head off.
