Just got a complete set of jesel rockers for my bbc brodix heads... My brodix heads are on the block with arp head studs... As of right now I have crane gold rockers with stud girdles and they work fine. I started installing the jesel rockers and they are hitting my head studs. My head studs are showing about a 1/2'' of thread through the nuts. Do my studs need to be flush with the top of the nuts for the jesel to work??? When the studs were installed it felt like they were bottoming out so I stopped... What do you suggest I do?????? I have never used the jesel setup although they look like a very nice piece.....

It's a pretty common problem with Chevy stuff. If you have enough threads on the block side of the studs, you can shorten them up enough to clear the bottom of the stands. If the threads are to short you can call Brodix and get single studs in the right length.

    head studs to long

i had the same problem with shaft rockers
2 rocker stands hitting the head studs i had two studs on each side were to long
just measure how much to long above NUT with(heads installed)/remove heads and remove the stud and trim off studs/reinstall the studs this should do the trick
    hope this helps

    studs

you can also counterbore or grind a little clearance on the bottom of the stands. Big Chiefs hit all over the place.

I notch and machine out the stands where the stud hits. But if the stud has too much out of the top of the nut, just hack the extra off of the stud.
Easy fix. I know it feels a little back yarded, but go look at every jesel set up on the planet. Even the pro stock guys to this same thing.
Welcome to the wild world of Jesel.

I have just decided to cut studs that I already have and use them like a bolt, instead of buying new bolts.... Wizards Warehouse suggested that I do this also. Hopefully I don't have to buy all new pushrods after switching to jesel, but i'm afraid the ones I have won't be the right length now and they are brand new manton that I have recently ordered!!!!

Hack the studs. Why machine the pedistal if the stud is long? You are just taking strength out. 1 thread out is fine.
You will be ordering pushrods. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
