That Marty Thacker (5.26) and Ken Perry(5.27) really stepped up with the 128%. But none of the West coast cars have? I thought Sean O'Bannon, Steve Federlin or even Joey Severance would have laid down a .20 by now.

The weather at Pomona is drastically different than the conditions in Richmond... None of the Pro Stockers have run 6.55 either...

Pomona air is unique. It can seem very good, and not be...and vis-versa (but not that often.

I was involved in a great conversation with Steve Federlin about this last night. The extra boost and power has made controlling the tune-up very tricky. I'm sure it will get sorted out. Only bad thing is that in one breath NHRA gave the guys some overdrive, and in the next they added 25 pounds.

I believe that the air at Richmond was about 400' from what I was told by people that were there, and the air a Pomona has been around 2100' -2500' according to out weather station so that alone has made a huge difference. Hope it makes sense to you now.

I thought most but a few blown cars were already overweight. I remember Marty posting here lobbying for more weight and Mike Kosky (all 160 pounds of him) saying that he couldn't get his car to weight anyway. I am not saying I agree to the raised minimum. but with diapers, belly pans & cage shields the cars got the weight anyway the past two or three years.
