well it was a dismal show last night at moroso citrus nationals as its been ever since Dick moroso died. this race used to be great back 80s there was always 25 alky dragsters an25 funny cars trying to get in the 16 car field it was great and it got better as we went to Bradenton snow birds and all the alky guys showed up plus a top fuel field, man it was 2 weekends in a roll of great racing, last night I watched 5 alky dragsters an 3 pro mod cars show up, the high lite was gunderson running a 521 274 mph in first round of qualifying, then the rains came and that was it for the night, today is partly cloudy but much cooler, he should fly today. Rumor has it that MG was going to try 96% on the second qualifying hit. Anyone got any info?

That was 95.5 wow what a great idea, now we just need to tame it so it does'nt smoke the tires. Thanks for the tune up

Mike - so you made the 21 run on 95 1/2 percent?
If so, the next time your phone rings, it'll be Darien...

Horner had a bye to the final and would have had to run the winner of badget and evans. I don't know who won.

this was taken from moroso website:

Top Alcohol Dragsters turned an impressive performance with the win going to Bruce Horner of Bergenfield, NJ, with a 5.774 @ 248 mph. Last year's Winner of the TAD class returned to take Runner-Up. Bill Evans, Jr., from Miramar, had a great pass but was taken at the tree with a .054 light to Horner's .034.

to clarify the confusion, brian told me the .21 was with their normal tune-up, not 96%.
