Hi - can you mix and match GT and HTD profile pulleys and belts or are there certain combos that don't work. For example, I have been told you can run a GT belt on a HTD pulley, can you run a HTD belt on a GT pulley?

How do I identify the different profiles? I have a pulley that has a definite flat spot at the bottom of each groove - I am assuming that it is a GT profile and HTD would be a perfect semi circle?

    Thanks in anticipation.

Flat spot on pulley is a GT. You should only run GT belt. Round bottom pulley, you can run GT are HTD.
