Grinding Floaters- Service Provider

    Hi,
    Who grinds floaters as a service? I have a box of floaters I would like to send out of house for resurfacing.

    I think I saw an ad for this on this website at some point along the way.

    Google Blanchard grinders in your area. That's what I did for 3 years before I bought a flywheel machine

    Bad thing about a blanchard grinder it uses a magnetic chuck it can pull a warped floater ''flat'' then when the magnet is released it will spring back it will measure parallel BUT will not be flat

    We bought a grinder after sending out 30 floaters years ago. The shop we sent them to measured the thinnest floater, set the grinder up and cut all of them including brand new floaters to the thinnest one. We got them all back at about .270".

    We send ours to Bob Devour. He is reasonable, quick turn around and he puts everyone on a fixture to make sure its flat. His number is 562-547-3183

    Dennis Jarell in Michigan does mine and many others. He has done clutch work on a top fuel car for years so he know what he is doing.
