    Hi all, some info first, Pro mag 44, p/n 81401, box p/n 8147, coil p/n 8142.
I want to put a grid on car, p/n 7720.
    1) do I need a crank a crank trigger?
    2) do I need a 7730 controller?
    Thx for any info. Tom.

    Don't you mean p/n 7730? That's the System Controller.

P/N 7720 is the Ignition Control which you don't need if your using the Pro Mag.

You don't need a crank trigger, tho' it is highly recommended.

Why not go on and get the crank trigger too?

I was using a 44 mag only, timing was all over the place , installed a crank trigger timing now steady as a rock.
