Goodson Pro Top Outlaws Head to Clay City, Ky This Weekend

This weekend Mt. Park Dragway in Clay City, Kentucky will host the Outlaw Drag Nationals featuring the Goodson Pro Top Outlaw competitors in the Spitzer Top Guns and the American Colorscans Super Eliminator categories. During the weekend, they will also finish out the final round of the Mid-Ohio Nationals held in Mt. Vernon, Ohio in mid-July. The final round will pit number one qualifier, Brandon Booher, against number two qualifier, Terry Coyle, in the first round of qualifying on Friday night to see who takes home the prize money.

The series comprised of dragsters, funny cars, and alterds will be accompanied by the various other vehicles including a jet freightliner, wheel standers, diesel trucks and much more during the weekend. The event will begin with the night of “fire” qualifying show on Friday and follow with great racing action on Saturday. During the event, fans will see all the track records fall as the Goodson Pro Top Outlaw competitors thunder down the eighth mile at over 180 mph in less than 4 seconds.

Also in attendance for the entertainment of the crowd will be the Shriner organization. The organization has partnered with the Pro Top Outlaws in order to bring awareness to the many charities they support throughout the year.

Clay City Spectator Tickets: Friday $15
    Saturday $20

    Qualifying: Friday 8:30 PM
    Saturday 3 PM & 5 PM
    Eliminations Begin at 7 PM

The series would like to thank the official series sponsor Goodson for their support throughout the season. With over 8,000 products available, Goodson has been serving engine builders for over 60 years. Whether you're working on the average automobile engine or a high-performance engine or a small displacement engine, you'll find the engine building tools and supplies that you need at Goodson. In an effort to improve the show and help a great cause, the series has become involved with the Shriner organization. The Shriner clowns will appear at select events to entertain the crowd and bring awareness to the great charities they are involved with throughout the year. For more information about the Shriner organization please log onto http://www.shrinershq.org/.

The series has a contingency program in place as well as payouts for each event. This could not be possible without the support from the following sponsors, Spitzer Race Cars, American Colorscans, Fowler Engines, Flatout Gaskets, Mickey Thompson Tires, R&R Racing Products, Performance Torque Converters, Aaron Sipple Engineering, No Limit Race Cars, Phil Esz Equipment, Ohio Crankshaft , W & M Enterprises Inc., Snyder Motorsports, Coan Engineering, Fab Shop, Find Races.com, Auto Meter, Mike Bos Chassis Craft, and Dan Olson Racing Products.

As PTO continues to grow they are looking for new members to join the organization. To find out more about the Pro Top Outlaw Series please click on the link below www.ProTopOutlaws.com.
