    Run 1

    Daryll Hitchman

Hitchman comes up to run his A/FD, the first alcohol car of the day. The car leaves the line pretty lazy, then he clicks it off just past 330.

    1.033 60' - 2.648 330'

    Update 2

    Brandon Lewis AFD

Lewis shows up in his new Monden chassis AFD. Joe Monden takes over this year as Crew Chief. Car looks good off the line, makes a clean A to B run, but I'm sure they won't be satisfied with the numbers.

    Update 7

    Chase Copeland (Gene Snow AFD)

Copeland make a nice hit right down broadway to take low e.t. honors at the moment.

    .954 2.489 3.649/218.23 4.625 5.467/264.75

It is warm today, the high was around 80, currently 78 degrees. I'll go check some weather stations in a little while to get the DA. A front is moving through tonight, highs in the low 70s tomorrow.

    Brandon Lewis TigerFlow AFD

Nice launch, puts a hole out on the right bank about 200' out.

    Update 8

Dave Hill (License - Bob & Chris Holley AFD)

A little better, but not much. 1.10 60' runs it to 330' and shuts it off

Mary Reep License - Grim Reeper OFA

Mary makes a nice launch, but the car gets over on the centerline. She wisely shuts it off around 330'.

    Update 9

    David Brounkowski Run-n-Hide AFD

The weather is cooling off in a hurry. It's been overcast for the past few hours, could be a fast few runs to close the day. Makes a good launch, has to pedal it around 330', takes it down for a full run.

    1.002 2.558 3.74/215 5.590/253

    Vitali Kazakevich A/FD

1.076 60', starts putting more holes out down track 6.41/219

    Missed one!

Dave Hill on his first full run for his license in Bob & Chris Holley's car ran a 5.76 @ 241 on 92 % nitro with four holes out at 1000'. This was the first run made on Sunday morning.

    runs

I tried to make a few updates on Sat/Sunday but the internet was messing up in the tower, plus I was on the ground quite a bit.

Chase Copeland had the run of the weekend Saturday evening. The lanes got pretty stacked up around the 5:15 cutoff, then there was a crash on the top end that backed things up. We went ahead and turned the lights on despite the rapidly dropping temperatures...there was no water in the air, so dew wasn't a concern. The corrected was close to 0 ft when Chase ran. The car took off with the front end up for about 200', set it down. He shut it off @ 900 ft (5.2 seconds) and still ran 4.52 to 1000'. That would have been a high 5.20.

David Brounkowski ran a 5.45 and 5.46 on Saturday.

Sunday, the conditions were absolutely mineshaft. Depending on who you asked, the DA was around -1000 to -500 ft. The sun was out all day, and by noon the track temp was over 85. Mike Manners brought his A/FD out, running a 5.38/267 right out of the trailer, then ran a 5.40/264 later in the day. Hitchman ran a 5.57, Brounkowski smoked the tires on both hits. Dave Hill ran a 5.76 on his only run, then the team found a cracked crank and couldn't make another hit.

    The new Reeper

I also need to mention Mary Reep did a great job in the Grim Reeper Outlaw Fuel Altered. She ran a 4.06 and 4.07 on Sunday, her first full 1/8 mile runs. The second run, the car got out of the groove, but it was going straight, and Mary did the right thing, she just kept it straight.
