Gene Hector and the Texas Outlaw Pro Mods at The Amalie Motor Oil Nationals

Gene Hector and his Small Block Mafia Team are one of the many Texas Outlaw Pro Mods (TOPMA) that have been invited out this weekend to participate in a race within a race at the brand new Dallas Raceway in Crandall, Texas.

Hector's car is a brand new 1963 Split Window, RJ Race Car Chassis with a 400 cubic inch small block that has already powered its way down the 1/8th mile in under 4 seconds. In addition, this dynamic combination includes a brand new PSI screw super charger along with an Allen Johnson equipped motor.

"We've installed a brand new 10" Crower lock up clutch" notes Hector, "it's a whole new learning curve. We enlisted some new help in our clutch area from some members of an alcohol funny car team for this race and a few more races in the near future. We're hoping that we'll go down the track every pass quickly and of course, with consistency.

"We won't be able to qualify until Saturday due to all of our work schedules, but once we pull through that gate, we'll be looking to run out there competitively with all of our friends from the Texas Outlaw Pro Mod Association. We can't thank Kenny Knowling and Galen Smith enough for the invitation to race this weekend at the Amalie Oil Nationals" concludes Hector.

In addition to Hector's Small block Mafia Team members, he would like to thank RH Well Service, Inc., Kinsler Fuel, Rick Jones, PSI, Diamond Pistons, Sunset Race Craft, Crower Clutches, Don Reed, Jason Scruggs, Nancy Matter and Jeremy Mitchell.
