Can somebody email me what the most common rear gears are and what the 1st gear and 2nd gear used in a Lenco for FCs using Roots blowers. I am trying to figure out the best gearing to experiment with in a blown ProMod. Thanks

My email is mike.c@mindspring.com or you can send me PM.

Hey Mike, MOST IHRA FC's are pulling a 1.75 low w/a 4.30 rear "some are in the 1.80's and I know of some that have tried 1.68 area. Sorry, can't give you the ratios to get there TOP SECRET! But I am sure you can get there with a calculator!

WE didn't get away from consistent severe tire shake in our blown hemi T/S -Q-16 car until we moved 1st gear from 1.90's to the 1.60 - 1.70 range.

    Mike,

I would def listen to these guys. As you probably know, Fred Tigges is a consistent heavy hitter in IHRA!!!!!!

I am listening and appreciate all the inputs. Now I have to add all that to what I have already have tried and figure out which is best for our engine torque and car weight.:)

    Thanks again to all;)

    Hey Mike,
For some of our learning curves, what are some of the things you've tried and what were their results?

Not for release yet. Maybe some time later as I am still trying to figure it out. Our Ford Hemi motor has a different torque curve as compared to a BAE motor which most ProMods and FCs use. Not too many blown Ford Hemi guys to learn from so life is a little harder.
