Gear Ratio

    New to the TA/FC business so i need alot of help.
    I will be runing a 4.5 stroke 4.310 Bore with BAE 5 heads and a PSI D. I still haven't picked up a Trans and I'm not sure about what Gear Ratio i would use. I'll be runing in DIV 7. So i really need some help!

    did you get a bible with the psi.
    its all in there .

    Neil;I run 4:30 rear,1:55 low gear in trans.It depends on what the air is!!!! ;)

    1.64-1.68 should get you started. hard to say without knowing alot of other factors.

    i'm not a funny car guy, but those ratios should allow you to hop it up for a good track and back it down for a bad track.

    maybe a fc guy could help out more!

    160 to 164 if you no how,156 div tracks..we gone 5.85 with the roots with 1.72

    Somewhere between 1.60 and 1.72 with a 4.30 rear gear and Hoosier tires. The lower the number for the looser the race track.
