Would there be any problem running a Milodon gear drive on a BBC with a blower? I was told it wasn't recommended but they used to do it, what would it hurt"

Used Milodon on one 540 with 14-71 and Keith Black on other 540 with 14-71. Also each had Pioneer mag drives and Hilborn fuel pumps. Many years--no problems. JW

I have used the same on BBC blower motors for over 14 years and never any problems. My older blower engine builder friend always used gear drives. I hope that helps! Jim in TN

Thanks, I think they were talking about no balancer and the harmonics of the blower belt being hard on them. I've ran pete jacksn gear drives but have no experience on a blown car.
