Gainesville Regional

I just recieved a text from a racer at the Regional event at Gainesville.
So far, 9 dragsters and 10 funny cars have shown up.
This morning it was 47 degrees, with a corrected altitude of minus 1277 feet (-1277').
What are your predictions?

Is Harker there? 5.48 off the trailer if he still has last year's Hoosiers, 5.78 pedal job if he doesn't...

 

Q1

Not official, but I heard a rumor that McPhillips grabbed the early pole with a 5.17 and Shields was #2 with a 5.31. After that were several .40's, but I don't have that info.
Somebody keep us poor frozen people updated.

Yes there was a 5.17 and I think Shields went a 5.25 in Q2, There were 10 dragsters there and 3 broke but we were able to fix Wayne Morris's car and are being put in as an alternate for Mr. Veal.

Some very good runs once the sun beat down on the track a bit. It was funny, we were worried there wasn't enough heat in the track and after we broke the rear end we watched Bourke run the 5.17 next to us...lol
