How many G's can you pull on a Hoosier 17x34.5x16 (Doorslammer) before tire slip overcomes forward drive? Thanks murray

I have seen 2.95 G's without blowing off the tires or shake on a 2600 lb doorslammer

Reviewed some more runs and found a 3.17 g run that didn't blow off the tires or go into shake. That was a Aussie doorslammer with a screw blower on it at legal weight.

    It was a 5.87 run with a 0.99 60ft. Pretty good run.

I've pulled over 4G's - 3.75G's on avg. and not had an issue with the tire sticking.

We are talking real cars here, doorslammers. You are saying you pulled that in a 2600-2700 lb door car with a 4-link?

Yes, PX car - not a everyday ride, but still shows the possibility.

Not for nothing boys, but a 2600 lbs. Fuel Funny car pulls 4.5-5g's for a large majority of the run, including the hit. Legal PM's I've seen over 3.5 and make it just fine, and with a clutch.

Does the computer pick up the very initial g force signal at the same time or point in the run no matter what position the computer is located in the car

The computer has to be oriented along the correct axis to get g force. The forward g force does not happen right on launch but a short time into the run. Usually within .5 seconds
