I Built A New Rear Engine Dragster Alcohol Blower With Sbc.

My Question Is: Can I Located My Fuel Tank Between The Engine And Firewall, ( Near Of Fuel Pump ) Or I Must Have A Firewall Between The Engine And Fuel Tank.............

    Thanks, Dan...........

Without knowing what your (USA) rule book says, I would recommend you install a piece of ali, minimum of 1/8" 6061-T6 1 x between frame and tank, this one to go from L H side to R H side chassis rails (fire wall) & 1 x between tank & engine, each attached with min 4 x 1/8" tabs (welded to frame) bolted with min 5/16" grade 8 bolts.
If your motor moves forward you will at least have a piece helping stop pulleys etc cutting into your fuel tank.
Always make sure you have the fuel level above your fuel pump prior to starting engine. I have never had a pump failure yet as I have always employed this very system.

I would definately put a shield of some sort so a broken blower belt or sneezed blower would not have direct access to the tank.

Also, I would be somewhat surprised if you have enough room for a fuel cell in that location. Do you know how much fuel you will be burning?
