I would like to get some opinions about having a fuel shutoff that is activated by manifold pressure . When the manifold pressure drops to zero [ blower bangs or burst panel blows ] the fuel pumps or the feed lines are shut off which will minimize the fire and will shut the engine down quicker .
Rather than relying on the manual shut off [ which can be damaged by body parts , driver being knocked out , etc ] , the fuel could be shut off if the blower bangs or when the driver shuts the throttle at the end of the run .
Lets try to prevent a bad crash before it has a chance to happen .
