I fitted the over center bracket today and as soon as i tightened it up enough to stop the bracket from turning the shut-off bound up!!!!.

any one else have same issue and what is a solution?

Setup your lever in the cockpit to operate the opposite way---- that when the fuel is on the lever on the shutoff is in the down position--------------------- too simple.

If you are going to tell me a driver can't remember to pull instead of push to shut the fuel off---- I have a whole bag of responses to that-----------:p

I had the same problem with a -6 shutoff on my old N/A motor, the -8 was no trouble. I had to move the -6 around a bit to find the sweet spot and then only tighten it up just enough to do the job. If I remember correctly the clamping area on the bracket had to be away from the machined slot in the shutoff... It was a bitch but worked great when I got it sorted...

    Good luck, Pete

I've got one but found a simple bracket and spring worked just fine.
