Is there anyone in the midwest who can flow a fuel pump quickly? Hurt a couple of pistons this weekend and need to make sure it was driver error & not the fuel pump going out. Will gladly next day air it wherever needed so it is there on Tuesday, just need it back by Thursday! Any recommendations?

Pump Specs: Waterman lil bertha, was flowed in May by Waterman at 33.9 gpm

You might want to send it to Ralph Gorr at http://gorrfuelsystems.com/

It would be pretty unusual for a Waterman Lil Bertha pump to have suddenly reduced flow. I would look elsewhere such as the fuel shutoff not being all the way open, or a fuel filter/screw being dirty. The other thing would be to check the port nozzle jet for those cylinders and make sure there is no dirt in it. Ignition timing being too far advanced will also cause that problem so check that.

I believe this is what happened, but was hoping to double check pump, but after getting the motor apart, we were very lucky. It slightly scored 2 pistons and we got lucky! 2 new pistons, new rings in the other cylinders, and a hone job on the sleeves and I think we'll be ready for action again.

I'm a little different setup than what you guys are normally used to, but there is a wealth of knowledge on this site that is applicable to much more than just drag racing! Thanks for the help!

I would get the pump flowed. It is not uncommon at all for a gear pump to go away and lose flow. Randy Anderson at 909-944-2915 is an excellent choice along with the other names mentioned here.

    33 gallon pump
I was wondering what kind of a snowmobile that was and how much boost it had
ive done this 3 times and the rods were junk each time
torque the rods and bore gauge them every time it goes lean
mine were .005-.010 wider on big end -grp rods
    tape the fuel shut off
    duane rister
also called several times your hard to get a hold of in the summer
