Fuel Injection information

I was speaking to an alcohol racer over the weekend who said someone was looking for a good complete manual on constant flow fuel injection. There is a 200 page 31 chapter book available at www.kenlowe.com.au for only about $75.00US plus shipping.

There is also a guy out of sacramento ca by the name of Bob Szabo who also has published a few alky fuel system books. I think its racecarbook.com

I have the HRE manual and I plan to buy the Race Car Book soon.

Well worth the money, I also HIGHLY recommend a membership at HRE.

Dont know if you can get ahold of Lowe. Ive tried for several months and no answer.I work for his uncle and no one including his kin seems to be able to find him. The book that Bob Szabo has is good info also as it has a lot of formulas. if you get em all like i did,just dont loan em out unless youve got a long string.Havent seen my Harvey manual in about a yr.

 

He still lives in sunny Brisbane, Australia doing fuel systems and other stuff. Still operates his drag race school aswell.

 

Cant believe i got an email from Ken this morn. He says he is back with the living now as he had (domestic probs),so he said he will be available now.

i ordered the fuel injection book a few days ago from him,says shipping to the states has sky rocketed, because of 9-11 ,53.00 to get the book to me!,i hope its worth it!

Well, I just finished the Race Car Book by Bob Szabo, I highly recommend it to anyone that is thinking about switching from carbs to CFI or wanting to learn more about fuel injection in general.
Money well spent if you ask me.
I still plan to buy the Ken Lowe book later this fall or early next spring.

PS: Bob, Any idea when the new book (Methanol: An Amazing Racing Fuel) will be out?

 

I finally got around to ordering Bob Szabo's latest book, Methanol: An Amazing Race Fuel.

I am about 100 pages in and I must say it is a pretty good read. At times the chemistry makes my head hurt so I take a break and come back to it later.

I will post more when I finish the book.

I'm confused Eric. He has two books. Racing Secrets and 5000 Hp with methanol. Is the one you mention a third?

Just sent him an e-mail. Seems he only accepts Paypal, which I loathe.

Hopefully he takes Postal Money Orders, Cashier's Checks, or Business Checks.

Would be nice if he had a direct merchant account other than Paypal.

Sorry about that, there are only 2 books. The second book is 5,000 Horse Power on Methanol, while Bob was writing it the working title WAS Methanol: An Amazing Race Fuel, sometimes I get confused and call it by its old name.
