Big Red System One on the line into the BV with the stainless screen. I would also filter in from the drum into the fuel jug, from the jug into the tank, and if your bored and have time to kill filter it again for the hell of it... blowin things up over a little piece of sh*t in the fuel is really frustrating

I use the Kinsler monster mesh filter in line between the shutoff and barrel valve and after installing it I haven't found a speck of anything in the fuel system beyond the filter.

With a fuel filter installed between the Pump & barrell valve will it affect the tune up if a pump sizer is used before the filter?
Has anyone checked what the pressure/flow change is accross the -8 system 1 fuel filter?

    Filter

We run a System One filter between our Enderle 110 pump and BV. We do not run a pump saver. The filter is the next smaller one in the System One range though I do not have the part number at my finger tips. I have had the pump output tested with and without the filter and found that above 3000RPM there was a restriction that increased with rising RPM. I do not have the flow numbers available today but from memory the flow was down about 1/2 GPM @ 100psi @ 7000rpm. If you are interested I can look up the flowchart tonight and let you know the numbers tomorrow.

excuse my ignorance, but when you guys are referring to "pump sizer" or "pump saver"...is this the same thing? And are you referring to the high pressure ck valve bypass? ie. in the bv?

I was referring to a Pump Sizer which is between the pump and Barrel valve.
Going by the previous posts I will get the system flowed with the 9'' system 1 filter.

They are not the same thing.
The pump sizer returns a set amount of fuel back to the tank or pump inlet so the pump 'seems' like it is smaller than it really is.
The pump saver is a high pressure poppet that keeps the system from overpressurizing itself when the throttles are closed but the pump is still at a high RPM.
