Foster signs Safety Tech for Tulsa Division 4 event

Foster enters the event second in Division 4 standings following a semifinal finish at last weekend’s event in Dallas.

Foster, of Davenport, Ia., is excited about partnering with Safety Tech for the Tulsa event.

“We have heard a lot of good things about the track down there in Tulsa, and we’re honored to have Safety Tech come on board with us for the event,” said Foster. “Hopefully we can make a good showing for them and our associate sponsors Motorsports Unlimited, DragRaceHose.com and Goodridge Hoses & Fittings.”

Todd Martin, owner of Safety Tech, who also races in the Outlaw Pro Mod category (LethalThreatRacing.com), met Foster and his Crew Chief Will Hanna at the PRI Show last December.

“We at Safety Tech, Inc. are very pleased to team with Chris and Will,” commented Martin. “I have known Will for a while now from his racing with Division 4 Funny Cars and at some of the Pro Mod Shootout races. I am a racer and understand the cost to be competitive. I saw the look in Chris’ eyes when we met at the PRI Show this year. He has shown he has what it takes to be a Champion and we at Safety Tech would like to help Chris and Will to accomplish this a second time.”

Hanna is pleased with the progress the team made in Dallas and hopes to build on that in Tulsa.

“We apparently had something wrong in the ignition,” stated Hanna. “We ran a 5.81 the first session flat out, and at that point I realized it wasn’t the tune-up, something was off in the horsepower department. We changed every ignition component Friday night, and the car ran a 5.68 at 256. The car is responding like it should again. Hopefully we can build on that in Tulsa and put our new sponsor Safety Tech in the winner’s circle.”
