I am going to add a flow meter to my homemade data recorder. (We make our own data recorder) I would like to know what flow meter is most commonly used out there as far as brand and model number. Could you guys give me the brand name and the model number off of your flow meter. This way I will make sure I buy the right one and not waste $800. Thanks

    Stainless or aluminum???

I understand the stainless flowmeter can be used with both nitro and aluminum but the aluminum one can only be used with nitro. Is this correct?

Yes that is true the aluminum can only be used with nitro. The only reson for this is with the cooling effect alcohol creates it would contract the aluminum hsg. and sieze the turbine That is the only reason...

Hoffer Flow Controls in NC (http://www.hofferflow.com). They will sell you the flow meter (stainless, #12) and provide the calibrations.
