I called weld wheel today to get info on wheels for new car picked out polished magnum drag for the front no problem
    then asked about rear
i now feel like i have lost track of what is going on
thought 16 x 16 non bead lock wheel is what i needed
then told about the 786x series with the 1 1/2 thick center special bead area for tubless liners
always used goodyear tubes and liners before with just plain wheel now i am not sure what i need
i sill have many sets of tubes and liners i can use
what wheels do i need any 15.1 wheel is ok isn't

all wheels that can be used with liners and tubes have a 1 & half inch lip-or flat surface inside the bead area of the wheel, but weld makes their new gold wheels either way, with the wide lip,or without the wide lip ,which you would then put screws on the outer bead.you have to tell them you are going to use the liner setup or they will send you the wrong wheel for your application,a good friend of mine bought 2 pair without knowing the difference, drilled valve stem holes in them before he saw they would not work with the liners, now he is stuck with the wheels as they will not take them back because he has drilled holes in them for a second valve stem!! ouch

Weld had made a wheel that will work with the tubeless liner that Hoosier has produced. This is the setup that a lot of teams are running now but, they are very expensive wheels. American wheel is working on fixing their wheel for this application and theirs are cheaper. If you have the old system you can still use that but there are not a lot of replacement parts for them anymore. Just be careful who you have mount them, some people have a rough time with them and tear the tubes.

do not know which one he ordered, but I know he did not tell them he was going to run liners, but he did not know their was two different types or designs.
