Falk carbon fiber hat

I recently bought a brand new Falk 14" carbon fiber hat , when the motor is not running , the throttle blades works very freely , i adjusted the blade opening at .012 . But when the engine is running , if i want to raise the rpm slowly , the throttle is very hard pull and if i release it slowly it don't return to normal idle , it stay at 3000 rpm , as soon the engine is turned off it return on the idle adjusting screws by themself.
any experience on this condition will help

I have seen this before, the throat area where the throttle blades are is distorting due to the vac of the supercharger. when the engine is shut off every thing returns to normal shape. The only way we could get the throttle to work properly was open the throttle blade more and then idle was to high . Ended up taking it off and not using it. It was a falk injector with a composite throat had heard he was redisigning that??

 

Is this condition is only with FALK hat or on every carbon fiber hats ?

i hear falk is bad for sticking.all i've had is knut and never had a sticky blade at idle.

Did you check the blades ? they need to be exact in the middle of the hole.

As for injectors. The knut injectors are made ( til 2006 ) bij C.G composite
these injectors are the best, and very high quality.

They are NOT the same as hats sold by knut know...

If you can not get you idle correct. it is possible that you have a damaged hat. If a hat is damaged ( blower belt. or falling ) you will see only a little crack outside. internelly the cracks can go everyware. It is like glass.
The hat is good for the bin !
I know there are some people fixing the outside of the hat, and used it again.
Can you image what could happen if the hat structure is damaged, and you shutt the engine down on the finish line... lots of vacuum, and outside pressure..

 

One thing we have noticed is when the hat sits in the direct sun the blades will get sticky , cover it up with a towel and the problem goes away . Still no probs with quality or it falling apart , cracking etc ...
