While the team does not have a win quite yet, they hold the confidence and drive to transform their consistency into an event win. Due to this, team driver Jonathan Johnson, as well as the rest of Etterman Racing Crew would like nothing more than to do this at crew chief David Scheelk’s home track.

“This past month continues to provide results and confidence for our team,” states Jonathan Johnson. “It is always amazing how making good, consistent laps down the racetrack can put such a great deal of ambition in our team. Recently, I changed my approach to driving and as a result have become more comfortable in the car than ever before. Likewise, since our newfound consistency, our entire team feels we have a great handle on the tune-up and are ready to provide great results for our Marketing Partners. However, while we may not have run some of the big numbers in Brainerd, the Bar’s Leaks Top Alcohol Funny Car trudged down the track every pass with consistently and confidence building runs,” concludes Johnson.

“We are looking for round wins and the long awaited event win,” comments George Etterman, team owner. “We have always had a very competitive race car and this entire team has worked towards a win more than anyone can imagine. Etterman Racing will do our best and in time, the wins will come, as well as those valuable Lucas Oil Series points. This race weekend at Heartland Park Topeka should be a fun and productive weekend!” exclaims Etterman.

“This season has provided us with several ups and downs,” admits Katie Ward, marketing and graphics. “The Etterman Racing Team went from a steady occurrence in the final rounds to struggling with small problems in the race car and qualifying in the bottom half of the field. However, the team pulls through and holds their own. After their small hiatus from the racing circuit earlier this summer, the crew reunited with a great sense of excitement and ambition to provide results for all of our great Marketing Partners. Since this moment, Etterman Racing holds one goal in mind and they will stop at nothing until they have produced those event wins. This upcoming weekend in Topeka will not be any different, so watch out for that Bar’s Leaks Funny Car because it will hold its own as a great competitor!” excitedly states Ward.
