The entire team enters the race weekend with optimism and enthusiasm after having had time to regroup and prepare themselves, as well as the car and equipment for the race.

“The field is full of great cars scheduled for this weekend, twenty-five to be exact, so we need to focus on our game for Friday morning’s qualifying session,” states George Etterman. “We want to continue to make good laps and get the car towards the top of Topeka’s qualifying ladder. Having talked with Jonathan and the rest of the team several times over the break, we are all ready to go racing again!” Etterman exclaims excitedly.

“The last few weeks has given me time to rest and prepare myself for Topeka,” proclaims Jonathan Johnson. “I am very confident in our team: George and Jane Etterman, David Scheelk, as well as Genie and Dickie Harshey. As a driver, I would like nothing more than to get a late round finish or a win on Sunday to show the crew how much I appreciate their hard work. Also, to have such great marketing partners and team gives a lot of confidence to a young driver, or any driver at that, and I am going to try my best to reward them with results on Sunday!” concludes Johnson.

“Being the first race of the season that I will not be able to attend, Topeka is a little bitter-sweet for me,” admits Katie Ward, marketing and graphics. “However, I am very confident in Jonathan, as well as all crew members, will compete with the best intentions in mind. Etterman Racing has performed well throughout the season, but they are looking for that win. I hope that our goals to ‘top Topeka’ will come into fruition this weekend,” says Ward.
