Etterman and Team Look Towards Field at Texas Motorplex

In addition to relaxing and recuperating from back-to-back races in March, Jonathan Johnson has continued to work, both at his internship in Beaumont, Texas and marketing for the racing program, as well as completing another semester of schoolwork.

“Obviously we want to rebound from our outing in Houston and there is no better place to do it than here at the Texas Motorplex,” states George Etterman, owner. “I think everyone is ready to go racing and have some fun!” The Etterman Team plans to assemble from their many homes at Ennis’s Texas Motorplex Friday morning aiming for a successful weekend.

“Off-weeks from racing always bring mixed emotion for me,” exclaims Jonathan Johnson, driver. “They are beneficial because I am able to accomplish so much in regards to work and school; however, I would prefer to be at the racetrack surrounded by all of my close friends, family and fans. I greatly look forward to the Friday night qualifying session, as it cannot get here fast enough. This upcoming weekend, we are lucky enough to have some of our friends from both Link Belt and Bumper Man come to the races and experience drag racing first hand, since this is the first season both companies have been involved within the sport. The team really looks forward to showing them a good time!” concludes Johnson.

“These three weeks away from the track have flown by,” declares Katie Ward, marketing and graphics. “Jonathan and I have completed many tasks that we have had on our lists for a few months and it is so rewarding. On the contrary, as the Webmaster of etterman-racing.com, my job is never finished,” Ward states with a smile. She concludes, “I am, however, very excited to get to the racetrack Friday in hopes we can prove ourselves once again. I have all the faith in the world in George, David and the rest of the Etterman Racing Crew to produce great results.”

The entire Etterman Racing Team looks forward to a great weekend and aims to put the Bar’s Leak Stratus into the winner’s circle for the first time in 2006.
