Etc control box 3 functions

    Need info - using ETC control box in 7.0 FED w/sbc & blown alcohol & pg & mallory super v mag . Trying to control trans brake - shift & over rev rpm . Nothing but problems ! Had 4 people look over & check wiring schematics - checked out ok, told by Hank @ ETC sounds like a rfi problem - spiral core wires was the solution . These wires have been on the car since the get go ! Any members who run this combo,or ETC box I would really appreciate info on a fix or suggestions ! Thanks !

    I installed one of these on my blown FED. Mounted it behind me -as far away from Mag, coil and wires as i could. Routed the rev limiter wires away from plug wires and along a frame rail.

    I wanted to use the high and low rev function( I shift on time). It didn't work for me, seemed to be limiting all the time. I am going to send it back and have it checked.

    It seems to be hit and miss with these things, half the people get them to work and half don't. I understand that they are good people to work with (ETC). So we'll see.

    I have the same one, Hi-Low plus RPM switch with a SMV. Mine wouldn't do anything either. Set the low limit to 3000 and rev the engine, I quit when it was up past 4500-5000RPM. I checked the wiring and found no issues either. Haven't phoned Hank yet but I'm going to keep an eye on this thread.
