So as everybody who DVRs race coverage knows, there is usually 10-20 minutes of some other sport. Normally its football or basketball, I've even seen poker and ping pong delay coverage. I draw the line at LPGA golf.

Justin, Dont forget about little league baseball and bass fishing. This is my first season with a dvr. The dvr came in reall handy today as I was able to watch Chris Demkes wild ride over and over and over, then I watched it again. I know its been said allready, but Chris sure did a great job of saving that thing.

I was going to start a bitch session about the delay of qualifying. I started one last week about the Houston race but I don't want stir the terd to much. One thing for sure is ESPN ----- the big one. The NHRA should find a better network to work with and we might get a better color man than that dunce P.P.

ESPN really is hit and miss as far as the non-racing content. I'd rather see the racers explaining how their car works and all of the tech tips that they use so sparingly now. I really don't care what the drivers do in their off time, between shooting BB guns with their kids, Antron Brown's little Nitro boat, and multiple John Force throwback moments.. I'd rather hear about the tech side and I don't think I'm alone there. Even the guys who turn left all the time have a cutaway car for their shows. Always talking about the trac-bars, wedge, tire pressure, tape on the grill.... Why not have a drag racing tech show and have crew chiefs come on and explain WTF happens during a pass, good or bad? I'd watch it. For such a technically advanced sport, they sure do leave a lot of the information out, and there is a ton that could be just considered common knowledge that they could use.

I think ESPN should let Frey do the Pros too instead of PP. He does a solid job on the Sportsman coverage.

All things being relative, i'll take PP over Whit Blazemore anyday. Those two should be placed on an island far far away...alone

Yes he did. I was over by the return road in that lane when he went down. I saw him start to turn away from the wall QUICKLY and I had my hands over my head wating for parts to come flying at me. It really was impressive.
